There are some experiences in the beauty world that sound like they will be wonderfully divine but don’t live up to expectations. Sodashi does not fall into that equation. Sodashi is the product of my dreams and having met the founder Megan Larsen it has exceeded the previous accolades I attached to it. She is incredibly modest but upon questioning her a little I realized that every element of this product is both considered on every level and also cultivated at the highest possible standard. Vedic music is played in the niche manufacturing environment where all the process are controlled by the company.
As a fabulous perk and also showing what kind of a forward thinking attitude Megan has, on the product website it says that her staff are assured time to meditate during the day. She is both forward thinking and dynamic and deeply thoughtful.
Exclusive to the Four Seasons Spa here in Ireland the therapies, although not cheap and cheerful, are really, really special. I enjoyed the Sodashi Contouring Marine Body Wrap. Lasting just under 90 minutes this involved being scrubbed and massaged and soothed all the while breathing in the wonderful scents of the products. One of the perks of the actual Spa experience and what makes it somewhat almost better value is that you have access to the facilities which are second to none here. I’ve attached a photo just so you can see how beautiful the pool is!
Out of the range one of my favourite products is the Rose Spray. The smell of it and feel of it is just as if you were in the most beautiful Rose garden in the world. I mentioned this on an interview that you can read here on RTE.ie
The Four Season’s hotel Dublin’s website is here and the number is 353 (1) 665 4602
If you know of anyone who needs some serious pampering, this is just the ticket.

In continuation of my love affair with Christy Turlington I have to post this. Following her own complications giving birth she made a documentary to highlight the plight of women in the underdeveloped countries when they face birthing complications similar to her and the treatment, or lack of, that they receive.
Her website with all the film info and how people can donate is here http://www.everymothercounts.org
Well-Being in LA is something that is at a higher level than anything I had ever experienced before. Exercise classes are available everywhere but from experience I now know that not all are created equal. Situated a hop, skip and a jump from where I was living when I first moved to LA is Harmony Studios in West Hollywood.
I passed it by several times before eventually going in to ask about classes. Initially I thought it was a little expensive but then I decided to ‘treat’ myself to a course. I didn’t quite realize how good an investment it was at the time. The classes are superb. There is never any more than 6 per class meaning you get lots of attention. For anyone who has never done pilates on a reformer all I can say is you have not experienced anything like it. It’s one of the most precise techniques that utilizes that fabulous mix of being naturally toning as well as almost being like a massage for your muscles. Karen the wonderful owner and also my teacher on several occasions immediately observed postural problem areas in me that no trainer had ever noticed.
I cannot recommend it highly enough. x x x

One of those very LA rites of passage after In and Out Burger, and cheap Mani-Pedis is a trip to a psychic. Quite simply if you were of the disposition to throw your shoe as far as you could from almost anywhere here, which in my case is obviously not that far, you would hit a psychic. A friend had some people coming into town and wanted to do something fun, visit a psychic, and I took it as my mission to research the best of the best.
I found her, finally. My friend and her friend from out of town visited with ‘Psychic Shirley‘ and returned both amazed and also really grateful for all they had learned. Although I am supposed to be watching my cash I couldn’t resist so me and a friend found ourselves driving to West LA and soon enough we were sitting in her office. My heart was beating out of my chest and I felt weirdly nervous and half wanted to run out the door, the other half of me was so excited to hear what she said.
She was beyond accurate and I only wish I could have sat there all day. I can only say great things about her and encourage everyone in the area to go visit her!
Psychic Shirley can be contacted by phone at (310) 699-7752 or by email at Shirley@ShirleyLipner.com.
