Bank holiday weekends always feel like such a treat. Being self employed I find most Saturday’s are spent catching up on work and I usually blog on Sunday’s so it’s a little bit endless. I love it but the extra day off last week was so welcome. For the first time in easily 8 months the sun actually shone which made it even nicer.
In a strange coincidence three of my best friends are due babies within the next three months. We’ve all been friends since we were seventeen. These are the girls that have seen it all: the good, the bad, the messy, the ugly, the tears and also all the happy moments. We all wanted to organise a get together before the new arrivals, it just seemed to take about five weeks to get a date that actually suited. Anyway finally that day arrived and a table in The Shelbourne was booked.
"Having spent a Winter and Spring in black tights I was determined to dress a bit sunnier and dare to bare my legs. I am loving monochrome at the moment and seem to wear this skirt from Bow and Pearl at least twice a week."
I wanted to add a little bit of sparkle and picked up a few pieces from the Lauryn Rose think of me collection. They donate 10% of their profits to the Laura Lynn foundation which is a lovely touch. I wore the two bracelets together and added a pendant with a little boy charm. It’s very cute! It would make a very cute new baby gift!
Andrew (delighted to have me out of the house!) took these pictures just before I headed off. It’s hard to believe but five minutes afterwards it was pouring rain!
Arriving in the Shelbourne the stunning hydrangeas caught my eye. The flowers in the reception are always so beautiful.
It’s an exciting time for everyone right now and in a few weeks everyone’s lives will be different but it’s so lovely to have had one last girly lunch together!
Lots of love,
