A few weeks ago I was going through my make up bag and I found a grey eyeshadow palette. I looked up youtube videos and played around but it ended up looking like a more sooty and sultry eye.
I genuinely love make up. I spent the best part of my twenties owning concealer and mascara and avoiding all the other goodies. To be honest I was scared of make up and wary of the salespeople behind the counters. I didn't want to make expensive mistakes buying the wrong products I didn't know how to use so I favoured a very natural look.
Since making changes to my diet and cutting out red meat I've been trying to become a little more aware and eco conscious in all areas of my life. I still wear leather and have a leather bag I love but overall I am making changes.
A natural look is the make up holy grail in my book. I love when people look like themselves, just more polished. Years ago I assumed people on TV or models got their make up done professionally all the time and sadly I soon found out that this isn't the case.
Working in TV on Xposé has made me have to make so many changes to my whole beauty routine and lifestyle. I used to love a really natural look but my 'natural' look which consisted of a slick of mascara and some concealer left me looking really washed out and beyond wrecked which didn't quite cut it.
