Meeting Fleur of England
Last week I experienced an amazing blogger event.
I was invited with a select group of London bloggers to come and check out the new Fleur of England lingerie collections and to also see the new resort pieces.
The event was held in Locke Apartments and we were treated to a three course meal in the restaurant firstly where I got the chance to meet the other girls including The Four of Us, StyleLobster and Megan Taylor. As this is my first year full-time blogging it was a bit of a pinch me moment but I loved it all.
After lunch we went upstairs to one of the apartments for champagne and to meet Fleur. Fleur set up the business when she was just twenty five and is fanatical about fit and celebrating femininity. It was very inspriational listening to her and she had such a genuine interest and kindness to her it made me love the brand even more having met her.
We were all sized and measured by her expert fitter and tried on a few pieces to access comfort and support. Personally what sets the range apart is how unbelievably stunning the pieces are. The lace is completely sublime. There's also an edge to the collection and it has loads of personality. This is not just a pretty lace underwear collection.
When it comes to lingerie I have definitely neglected that area of things a lot lately. It was great to get resized and sadly I will have to have some sort of an old bra cull and get rid of the pieces that no longer fit and are just worn out. Being in a room of stunning things made me realise how special and personal underwear is. It's a very private gift-to-self and I imagine if you work in an environment where your outerwear is restricted, having gorgeous underwear underneath is a personal empowerment.
The Resort swimwear collection is new to Fleur and it's quite primary which I love. I like a subtle print and with swimwear I always find something well cut and well-fitting can do wonders for beach or poolside confidence. There are lots of high waisted bottoms and kaftans also with a bit more coverage.
To make it an even nicer afternoon there was a mini-manicure table all set up with Shoreditch Nails. We really were completely pampered by the brand all day but I also think having something that keeps you present at an event for a while is good thing. I kept noticing different details on pieces the longer I looked at them and in particular fell in love with a lot of the swimwear after testing the stretch of it.
I am now back home going through my underwear drawer to make space the new.
Let me know what you think of the collection!
Lots of love,
